"Alchemy from the Cracked Earth", is the title of my piece for Travis Louie's "WILD ABOUT HARRYHAUSEN" group show, which celebrates the brilliant career of master stop motion pioneer Ray Harryhausen and is opening this Sat. Nov. 14 at KP Projects/MKG in Los Angeles. This show has a truly amazing lineup of artists and I'm very proud to be part of it. The piece is an homage to the classic skeleton battle in JASON AND THE ARGONAUTS, my favorite R.H. film. The work of Ray Harryhausen has had a very big influence on me, beginning when I was a small child...as a matter of fact, one of my earliest memories is watching the skeleton battle on television. A true master, Harryhausen combined incredible animation technique with creature designs that were not only beautifully conceived and sculpted, but also had a wonderful sense of personality.
